Play better. Sound better. That is the promise when you purchase a pack of V-Picks for your guitar, mandolin, or bass. And luckily, your promise will be fulfilled. It's the extent at which it is fulfilled that must be answered. So let's start with 'play better'. V-Picks are supposed to make you 'lightning fast'. Why? Well, they have 'non-slip technology'. The idea for this technology is ingenious. The heat from your hands' friction causes the pick to grip your fingers! I played two gigs comparing the V-Picks to a generic pick and I lost 8 generic picks and kept the same V-Pick the entire time. Does the technology work? The results do seem to suggest that it does. That being said, it is very hard to tell if in fact the 'non-slip technology' is actually working. The pick feels great-- super smooth-- but I can't safely say that I'll never lose these picks. |
Anyhow, on to 'sound better'. This, without a doubt, I can confirm. These picks are made of a material crafted by the 'Guitar Gods' themselves! Every note sounds pleasing with crisp highs and lows. You can compare the tone to any pick out there, these are better! So, how can these be improved? Well, for one thing, they're clear. That's a gigging musician's nightmare. They really do need to stick to your fingers, otherwise you'll never find them again! V-Picks is on to this and red is available for many of the picks.
Many guitarists are very hesitant to change picks, but I recommend making this switch. It won't take long to get used to them and your sound will be better. Check out http://v-picks.com/ for more information and how you can order your own. 4/5 |
